Who is Curated by K for?
Curated by K is ideal for anyone building or designing a new home with a volume builder who wants to make more considered decisions throughout the process. Whether you’re at the very beginning, already have your plans, or are partway through your build, the guides, resources and advice are designed to help you create a home that feels cohesive, functional and beautifully considered. If you like my signature aesthetic, I can share the decisions I made to achieve a similar result.
Is Curated by K suitable for first-time builders?
Absolutely. In fact, much of what I share comes from what I wish I had known before building my own home, ranging from what I learnt first-hand to advice scoured from the internet and social media. My goal is to help you feel more informed and confident, rather than overwhelmed by the thousands of decisions that come with building.
Do I need to have a builder or house plans already?
Not necessarily. These resources are definitely most valuable before you select your builder, so you know exactly what you're asking for from the get-go. However, if you have a builder and no house plans, the Plans Edit and Colours Edit will be most useful to you. If you have the house plans and no finishes yet, the Selections & Finishes Guide are perfect for you. If you are just starting out, the Curated Bundle will best prepare you.
Can I use Curated by K with any builder?
The advice, guides and design resources are created to be useful regardless of which builder you choose; however, please know that builders may not customise any plans. So this is important information to find out before proceeding with a builder. My experience lies in volume builders in SEQ.
What does the personal assistance include?
Building a home means navigating countless appointments to choose the colours, finishes and details that shape your home. I know firsthand how overwhelming these decisions can be, so I offer personalised support to help you feel prepared and confident.
From tiles and electrical to your builder’s Colours & Selections appointment, I can help you make considered decisions that suit your budget and align with my design principles and inspired by my signature aesthetic. Support can include preparation beforehand, on-the-day assistance or showroom visits.
Selections Assistance is $50 per hour, with 4 hours included in the Curated Bundle.
Do I need to check the information with my builder?
Yes. Every home, site and building project is different. Any measurements, recommendations, products, structural changes or construction-related decisions should be confirmed with your builder and relevant qualified professionals before proceeding.
What does comprehensive feedback look like?
You’ll receive a detailed review of your plans and/or selections, with personalised recommendations for changes, improvements and finishes to help you create a cohesive, considered home aligned with my design principles.
The review is provided as one comprehensive set of feedback for you to take away and work through with your builder. Of course, small follow-up additions or clarifications may be provided as needed; however, the service is designed around a single comprehensive review rather than ongoing revisions or multiple rounds of feedback. If you'd like more assistance, this can be accessed as $50 per hour.
Where I feel an in-person meeting or walkthrough would add value to your review, I’ll offer this to local clients in the Ipswich area.
Is my purchase refundable?
Digital Guides
As our guides are digital products delivered electronically, purchases are generally non-refundable once access has been provided. Please take a moment to review the product description and inclusions before purchasing to ensure the guide is right for you.
Design Services
Our design services are personalised services based on my time, expertise, experience and individual recommendations for your home. Once a service has been booked and work has commenced, the time allocated to your project and the work undertaken cannot be returned or resold, so purchases are generally non-refundable.
If you need to cancel or change your booking, please get in touch as soon as possible and I’ll always do my best to find a suitable solution.

The Guides
What are the guides about?
The guides cover the practical and design decisions I believe are worth thinking about before and during a build. They draw from my own experience and include everything from measurements and planning considerations to selections, finishes, functionality and the details that can make a significant difference to the finished home.
Can I purchase the guides individually?
Yes. The individual guides are available separately, while the Curated Bundle brings the complete collection together.
Are the guides useful if I have already started building?
Yes. While the earlier you use them, the better, many of the guides can still help you make decisions throughout your build and avoid common mistakes before a decision becomes difficult or expensive to change.
Are the measurements in the guides minimum recommendations?
Where I provide measurements and dimensions, these are intended as minimum recommendations based on my own experience. If you have the space and budget to go larger, I would generally recommend doing so. Your own plans, site and building requirements should always be considered.
